Thinking of Getting Foot Surgery?

Foot surgery can often be easier and with a faster recovery than many people imagine. Most procedures can be done in the office using local anesthesia or as an outpatient in either a surgery facility or hospital. An outpatient means that the patient only stays at the facility for several hours, not overnight. In addition, there are anesthesia options such as “twilight sleep” or general anesthesia.

“I went to Dr. Kaye for hammertoe surgery on both feet. I consulted with many doctors who only wanted to do one foot at a time. I really wanted to do both at once and just knock it out. Dr. Kaye said it would be no problem and indeed it was no problem. Surgery went smoothly and within two weeks I was ready to walk around.”
